Meeting the Needs of Deaf people: Communication tips for your workplace

Our Deaf awareness training is tailored to meet the needs of the organisation and the deaf people it hosts/serves. This training provides the learner with understanding of the barriers that deaf people face, as well as providing strategies, ensuring that any interaction with deaf people is a comfortable experience.

We provide communication tips based on the given environment. In addition, we aim to provide basic sign language vocabulary, suitable for the given place of work, which can ultimately aid with any interaction with a Deaf BSL user.

Our qualified coaches will train your staff, thus ensuring an excellent standard is reached and executed by your service or place of work. We ensure that you and your staff will receive the necessary skills and knowledge to communicate efficiently and most importantly effectively with Deaf people and make sure that you are aware of how to fulfil your legal obligations.

Flexible training packages (one hour, three hours or a full day) are available, designed and delivered by our experienced team.

Our special package ‘Introduction to British Sign Language’ is also available and compliments all of our Deaf Awareness training.

All our training is informative and interactive. We are able to offer a bespoke remit tailored package to complement your learning and needs. This will then fit into your workplace seamlessly resulting in an effective more accessible service or workplace.
